The olden ticket

This ticket took my father to Vietnam 40 years ago, as an Army officer.

Next week, we’ll be using very different tickets to fly back to Vietnam, joining the group of veterans and Rotary Club members who start their trip tonight. For the next few days, I’ll be packing, dealing with medical preparations (malaria pills, etc.), and cramming in as much research as possible – on top of my regular work, of course!
Any suggestions?

Your father must be so proud, as are we of the fantastic job you are doing. I would love to have you and your dad come and speak to Alpha Omega sometime after you are back from your trip. I cannot think of a better role model for our scholarship recipients. Kalo taxidi and I will be reading daily. Nancy
Your father is an amazing man and so are you. In Jewish wisdom what both of you are doing is called, “tikkun olam” that means repairing the world.
But you should also bring out the fact that it was the mind-set of people from Capitalism and Communism that has lead to the destruction of Vietnam.
This kind of mind-set has also destroyed Korea. it is divided into antagonistic camps now, North Korea and South Korea. Again, the war-mongers from Communism and Capitalism are the ones who have created this havoc.
How do we change this mind-set globally so as to bring peaceful solution is a challenge.
The global war on terror – which is really a war against Muslims and Islam is also a by-product of Western values versus Islamic values.
How do we win hearts and minds of Koreans, Vietnamese and Islamic world is not through power – it will be through global human rights agenda.
Really nice blogs, wish you had more pictures of the places and things that you have done and seen. Hopefully being in Vietnam will give peace to those Vietnam Vet. who fought bravely for this country.
Vietnam (viet Cong’s) need to give our Khmer Krom people land back!
